This trilogy is one of the most bizarre, morbid, cuckoo for coco puffs dark story I’ve listened to. With its fantastical plot and unique characters it took a far right down freaky street for me. The complaints were that sometimes it was hard following all the different side line characters and I’m shocked on why the author chose to lose our lovable comedic relief until the third act of the last book. There were parts that didn’t make any sense to the storyline I had to skip over because if it was just unneeded filler. All along unique dark humour/satire and all along a bloody monster of a series. It definitely didn’t hold back from being grotesquely original unlike many other books that claim to be dark and comes with trigger warnings all along for it to hold back from being the campy horror show it could have been ! If you like Camp + dark humour + satire+ horror this book trilogy is for you. Start at demon road!
